We are excited to announce the re-opening of the Free Rein Therapeutic Riding program. Despite the challenges of COVID-19, we are again providing life-changing rides for our Spokane Community!
The annual Auction and Dinner raises one third of our operating budget. This allows us to continue providing adaptive and therapeutic horsemanship programs to our growing community of children, adults, and veterans with disabilities. The benefits of therapeutic riding are immense. Not only do riders increase their strength and improve their balance but they develop confidence, communication skills and cognitive function. For some of these riders, it is the only form of therapy that they can or want to participate in and for many, it finally brings them some sense of normalcy.
This year is a little different due to COVID-19. Instead of hosting this event in-person, our auction will be held online with a virtual event and a delicious catered meal that can be picked up on Saturday, October 24th, 2020. Although unprecedented, this online platform has potential to draw crowds much larger than we have seen in the past.
Thanks to our generous sponsors, donors, and guests, the 2019 Auction raised over $60,000 with over 250 guests in attendance, and we hope 2020 will be even bigger!
Your gift towards the 2020 auction will help build a program that will continue to grow so we can serve a very important population in our community. Auction proceeds go towards providing top quality riding lessons specially adapted for individuals with special needs and offering life-changing experiences for all involved.
